Introduction to freshwater sawfish: In order to hunt and defend themselves, sawfish are equipped with special "weapons". Sawfishes can use the "long saw" in front of their heads to knock out prey lurking in the underwater mud. Sawfishes usually live alternately in the ocean and freshwater, while freshwater sawfishes live entirely in estuaries or upstream rivers, up to 100 kilometers away from the ocean. Don't confuse the sawfish with the sawshark. The main difference between them is that the sawfish is smaller and has two strong bristles on its whiskers.
