Introduction to Shanghai Old Hotel: Shanghai Old Hotel opened in 1875 (the first year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty). Originally located on Jiuchang Road, it was moved to the west side of the Old Town God's Temple on Fuyou Road in 1965. Founded by Zhang Huanying, a native of Chuansha, Shanghai, it was originally called Rongshun Pavilion, but was also called Lao Rongshun because of the store's owner. When it was moved, it was renamed Shanghai Old Hotel. It specializes in Shanghai local flavor dishes. The main famous dishes include Babao Chili Sauce, Zaobotou, Salt and Pepper Pork Ribs, Shrimp and Black Ginseng, etc. Many national leaders, including the President of Malta, have visited the store.
