Introduction to Qibao Ancient Town: Qibao Ancient Town is 5 kilometers away from the central city of Shanghai. It is a historical town with both the natural scenery of the Jiangnan water town and a long cultural connotation. The ancient town first appeared in the Later Han Dynasty and was formed in the Northern Song Dynasty. In the early Song Dynasty, Qibao Temple moved in and the town took its name from the temple. But it is said that the town is named after seven "treasures" including the Golden Lotus Sutra, the Sacred Tree, the Ji Lai Bell, the Flying Buddha, the Golden Rooster, the Jade Chopsticks, and the Jade Ax. Eventually it flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties due to the development of the cotton textile industry.
