Introduction to Zhapu Road Bridge: Zhapu Road Bridge is located in the northeast of Puxi, connected to Huqiu Road in the south and Zhapu Road in the north. The bridge is 71.94 meters long and 17.3 meters wide. It has 3 holes under the bridge and one hole in the middle. The span is 36.55 meters. , is a reinforced concrete bridge. After Shanghai opened as a port, Bishop Burn of the American Episcopal Church built a pontoon bridge to the west of the ferry. In 1873, the pontoon bridge was changed to a wooden bridge. Foreigners called it Peng En Bridge, and Chinese people called it Tou Ferry Bridge, also known as Baidu Bridge. To distinguish it from the Waibaidu Bridge to the east, it is also called Erbaidu Bridge. In 1927, the wooden bridge was demolished and rebuilt as a reinforced concrete bridge, named after Zhapu Road. Zhapu Road Bridge is a typical European style, which is very harmonious with the architectural style on both sides of the Suzhou River.
