Introduction to the Big Rockery: The Big Rockery was designed and built by Zhang Nanyang, a famous stone stacker from the south of the Yangtze River in the Ming Dynasty. It is about 4 feet high and is built with thousands of tons of Wukang yellow stone. There are undulating false peaks, winding roads, deep ravines, and clear springs. Over the past 400 years, the scenery of Yu Garden has gone up and down, but the rockery still maintains its old appearance.
