Introduction to Laojun Temple: It is said that the earliest discoverers of Shawan Hot Spring were the Mongols. When gold mining was popular here more than 200 years ago, gold diggers began to use the hot spring to treat diseases. Later, in order to thank God for the spiritual spring given by God, Laojun Temple was built here during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. To this day, Laojun Temple is still engraved with the names of the gold diggers who donated money to build the temple.
Today's Laojun Temple has been renamed Lingquan Temple, which enshrines not only the Tathagata Guanyin, but also Laozi, who sat on a green bull and became an immortal.
