Introduction to the culture of the Ba people: The ancestor of the Ba people is Fuxi, whose mother was Nuwa. They are one of the oldest ethnic groups in my country. Their initial area of activity is said to be the Jialing River Basin including Guang'an. Later, some Ba people crossed the Three Gorges along the Yangtze River and reached the Qingjiang River Basin in what is now Hubei Province, bordering the Chu State at that time. This was the Linjun Man with the white tiger as its totem. The indigenous Ba people who have remained in the Jialing River area are the Bandun barbarians who use snakes as their totem. Linjunman and Bandunman are the two most vital and influential branches of the ancient Ba people in history.
