Introduction to Shifogou: There is a Stone Buddha Cave on the stone cliff in Shifogou, with images of stone Buddha carved inside. The ruins of the Buddha Cave were discovered during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty (1796-1820). A Zen temple was built next to the stone Buddha and named Shifo Temple. This is how Shifogou got its name.
