Introduction to the East Gate: The East Gate, also known as Cuimen Pass, is the only gate tower in the Bamboo Sea in southern Sichuan. It is located at the junction of the Bamboo Sea and the Qingshan Mountains. You can see the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau hundreds of miles away from the tower. Under the Danyan Rock, the scenery is picturesque, but it was once the battlefield where Shi Dakai, the wing king of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, led an army of 100,000 and fought fiercely with the Qing soldiers Tang Yougeng. The history and scenery converge here.
