Introduction to the boat hall: The "boat hall" is also called a land boat, a boat, or an untied boat. It is a unique building in Chinese gardens that imitates a painted boat. The boat hall in Qinghui Garden is a two-story house. It is said that it is an imitation of the old purple cave boat on the Pearl River. It was built as the residence of the daughter of the original garden owner and is the highlight of Qinghui Garden. Its appearance is a double-story ship-style brick building, decorated with bamboo, plantain, snail, ripple and other carvings everywhere. The winding corridors are like a springboard for boarding a ship. Although it is on land, it seems to be anchored in the water.
The boat hall, the South Building, Xiyin Bookstore, Zhenyanzhai and other buildings are connected to each other by curved corridors, with ancient trees interspersed in between. A ladder leads to the second floor (front cabin) of the ship's hall via the winding open-air platform. You can lean on the railing and look out, with lotus ponds, waterside pavilions, mountains, rocks, flowers and trees all coming to your eyes, a charming view.
