Introduction to Guanzhong Academy: Guanzhong Academy was the highest institution of learning in Shaanxi during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was also one of the four famous academies in the country, ranking first among the four major academies in the northwest. In the long and narrow square, there is a mighty stone lion on the left and right. The civil official stone in the back is Feng Congwu, the minister of the Ministry of Industry of the Ming Dynasty who founded Guanzhong Academy. The plaque in the middle of the archway is inscribed with "Guanzhong Academy" in golden official script, with "Chongwen" on the left and "Shangde" on the right. According to legend, Feng Congwu wrote a letter to the emperor in the Ming Dynasty, saying that the emperor was "indulged in wine, sex, and politics." As a result, he was dismissed and went home. Then he devoted himself to studying Yili and gave lectures at Baoqing Temple. Later, he attracted Wang Keshou, the top administrator of Shaanxi Province at the time. , held a "Joint Lecture", and thousands of people came to listen, so an academy was built in that place, namely Guanzhong Academy. In the 32nd year of Guangxu (1906), Guanzhong Academy was restructured into Shaanxi Normal University, which became the highest institution of higher learning in the five northwest provinces. During the Republic of China, it was changed to a provincial normal school. It was not until the liberation that it became Xi'an Normal School and the attached primary school.
