Introduction to the Hua Pagoda of Baoqing Temple: The Hua Pagoda of Baoqing Temple is located on the north side of the academy gate inside the south gate of Xi'an today. Baoqing Temple was built during the reign of Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty, Renshou (601-604), and its original site was Anrenfang, Daxing City, the Sui Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Wenzong of the Tang Dynasty, five-color bricks were used to build a pagoda in the temple, so Baoqing Temple was also called Huata Temple. During the Five Dynasties, the palace was destroyed by fire, but the tower remained. In the second year of Jingtai in the Ming Dynasty (1451), the pagoda was moved and the temple was built at the current site. During the Wanli period (1573-1620), Feng Congwu gave lectures and taught among them. In the first year of Yongzheng's reign (1723), the resident monk Wentian rebuilt the temple. The Hua Pagoda of Baoqing Temple is about 23 meters high, with seven floors and a hexagonal plane. It contains stone Buddha statues from the Wei, Sui, and Tang dynasties.
