West China Campus Introduction: Sichuan University West China Medical Center was established in September 2000. In order to comply with China’s higher education reform, the former Sichuan University (founded in 1896) and the former West China University of Medical Sciences (founded in 1910) were merged. It now has five schools: West China School of Clinical Medicine, West China School of Stomatology, West China School of Pharmacy, West China School of Basic Medicine and Forensic Medicine, and West China School of Public Health, referred to as West China Fifth Hospital (nationally referred to as Sichuan Medicine), and owns West China Hospital of Sichuan University , West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University (West China Obstetrics, Gynecology and Children's Hospital), West China Stomatology Hospital of Sichuan University, and West China Fourth Hospital of Sichuan University (Sichuan Occupational Disease Prevention and Control) are four affiliated hospitals.
