Introduction to Kompong Phhluk: About 3,500 Vietnamese live in the Flooded forest of Kompong phhluk, who fled to Cambodia by waterway during the war. Because they were very poor and could not afford to return to their hometown to rebuild their homes, they settled here. They live in a house that floats on the water. During the dry season, the depth of the Tonle Sap Lake is only 2 meters, so they will row their house to the center of the lake to live; during the rainy season, when the lake water surges, they have to row back to the shore where the water is deeper. Set up camp in a shallow place.
