Introduction to the Transfiguration Tower: The Transfiguration Tower (PreRup), also known as PreRup Temple, is located outside the royal city of Angkor Thom. This was the royal crematorium in ancient times. Cambodians mostly used cremation after death, and only those who died accidentally were buried. The former kings and nobles were cremated here after their death. It is said that they can be freed from the reincarnation of good and evil in Indian teachings and transform into gods, hence the theory of "transformation".
