Introduction to serial sections of dolphins: This exhibit is the first dolphin specimen in the world that has been preserved as transparent sections. Transparent slicing technology is one of the three major preservation technologies of the Mystery of Life Museum. In order to allow the audience to better understand the internal structure of the dolphin, the Museum of Mysteries of Life used this technology to cut it into hundreds of pieces, with each piece being no more than 5 mm thick.
