Introduction to Ci'en Temple: Dahong Mountain was a holy place for Buddhism in the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. The Ci'en Temple on the top of Baozhu Peak was formerly Lingfeng Temple, which was built in 826 AD in the middle of the Tang Dynasty. There are more than a hundred palaces on the mountain, with constant incense and continuous ringing of bells and drums. In the tenth year of the Chongzhen reign of the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Sizong of the Ming Dynasty gave Lingfeng Temple a plaque "Chu Mountain View Temple". There are "Dahong Mountains, mountains and mountains connected, Hongshan Temple" "Temple upon temple upon temple upon temple upon temple upon temple upon temple."
For more than a thousand years, Hongshan Temple has been built and destroyed many times. The current temple was rebuilt in 2009 by the contemporary Buddhist master Ben Huan, the elder, and his disciple Yinshun, who raised funds to rebuild the new temple. It is grand and one of the largest temples in central China.
