Introduction to Danning Hall: Danning Hall is a complex of waterfront buildings beside the Houxi River in the Summer Palace. Its prototype, Danning House, was a bookstore given to the later Emperor Qianlong by Kangxi in Changchun Garden. Danning House was destroyed in After the fire, Emperor Qianlong rebuilt the Danning Hall to imitate its original appearance. In 1860, Changchun Garden was invaded by the British and French forces, and the Danning Hall was destroyed in the fire. The current building was rebuilt on the original site in 1996.
There are two entrances to Danning Hall. The main hall in the front hall is five rooms wide, with three wing rooms on both sides, and five east and west wing rooms. There is a Qing Dynasty furniture exhibition in the west wing. The back hall is built according to the situation of the mountain. The building faces north. The main building, Danning Hall, is two stories high and is connected to Yunhuixuan on the back. It is eleven rooms wide and has five auxiliary halls connected to the east and west sides.
