Introduction to the Mountain Gate: The Mountain Gate is also called the Zen Palace. There are two royal stone lions from the early mid-Qing Dynasty placed on both sides of the door. The male lion on the east side weighs 2.8 tons, and the female lion on the west side weighs 2.76 tons. The shape of the stone lion is extraordinary, with its front legs upright and its hind legs coiled, its head held high and its chest high, majestic and powerful. It is a typical royal seated stone lion, unique in the province and one of the few in the country. According to surveys, there are only two pairs of stone lions with this shape in the country. One pair is placed in the Dragon King Temple Palace, and the other pair is placed in front of Tiananmen Gate in the Forbidden City in Beijing.
