Introduction to the ascending steps: The ascending steps are usually paved with 53 steps, with a small square platform at the end and a stone lion on each side of the platform. Going up, there are another 53 steps, and there is also another platform. The platform is surrounded by bluestone railings where you can sit and relax. Climb the 7 steps in the third section to reach the Thousand Buddha Hall and Sutra Library.
