Introduction to the back hall: The back hall of Houde Hall is also called the inner hall and the female hall. The large beams and xuan beams in the back hall are carved with a complete set of scenes from "The Romance of the West Chamber", which echoes the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" on the beams in the front hall. The carvings are all based on ancient Chinese classic stories.
