Introduction to the Zhuangyuan Mansion: Next to the Diaohua Building is the Shipan Zhuangyuan Mansion. Shi Pan (1417-1440) was named Zongming. Because he was the number one scholar in Suzhou in the Ming Dynasty, he was listed among the "Five Hundred Worthy Temples in Suzhou". In the reign of Emperor Yingzong of the Ming Dynasty, the governor Zhou Chen and the prefect Kuang Zhongte celebrated the event and preserved a poem monument. Shi Zhuangyuan's former residence was bought by Jin's grandfather, the original owner of Diaohua Building, during the Qing Dynasty and became Jin's old residence.
