Introduction to Fahai Temple: Fahai Temple is located in Fahaiwu on the west slope of Moli Peak. It is said that it was built in the Sui Dynasty where the residence of General Moli was built. During the Qianhua Period of the Later Liang Dynasty during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, the temple was renamed Gion. In the fifth year of Dazhongxiang of the Song Dynasty (1012 AD), the old name of Fahai Temple was restored. In the first year of Hongxi in the Ming Dynasty (1425 AD), a bronze bell and a bronze Guanyin statue were built in the temple. In the sixth year of Tianshun (AD 1462), the monument "Reconstruction of Fahai Temple" written by Wu Hui, a Jinshi from Dongshan, was erected inside the mountain gate. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, the temple rebuilt the two halls of Tianwang and Amitabha, which were called "Jungle Temple". There was also a flower table erected in front of the temple, which is of extraordinary scale. Fahai Temple has a secluded environment, grand palaces, prosperous incense, and many literati have chanted about it.
