Introduction to the Mahavira Hall: The plaque "Mahatma Hall" hangs high on the door mast of the Mahavira Hall. In the center is a seated statue of Tathagata Buddha, with Ananda and Kassapa standing as attendants on the left and right. Along the walls on both sides sit eighteen gilded gold and iron Arhats in the Ming Dynasty, with different expressions. They were moved here from Mount Wutai, a holy place in Buddhism. Behind the Buddha statue is enshrined a stone carving portrait of Han Shan and Shi De from the Tang Dynasty. In the portrait, Han Shan's right hand is pointing to the ground, talking and laughing; Shi De is listening happily with his chest and abdomen exposed. Both of them have hair that is wavy and look very naive. They are the authentic works of Luo Pinzhi, one of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou in the Qing Dynasty.
