Introduction to Suzhou Footprints: During Zhang Shicheng's rule in Suzhou, he eliminated bad governance, built water conservancy, opened the Hongwen Museum for the first time, used the wise to let go the foolish, and selected talents in an eclectic way. After ten years of governance, Suzhou was prosperous and peaceful. It was not until September of the twenty-seventh year of the first year (1367) that Zhu Yuanzhang conquered Suzhou. Zhang Shicheng was unyielding and captured Jinling and hanged himself to death at the age of forty-seven.
