Introduction to Bangyan Mansion: Bangyan Mansion is located in Xiatang Street, Mudu Town. It is the former residence of Feng Guifen, a disciple of Lin Zexu and an enlightenment thinker and political commentator in the late Qing Dynasty. The house faces south and faces north, which is a typical garden architectural style of Jiangnan residences in the early Qing Dynasty. There are three treasures in Bangyan Mansion, namely brick carvings, stone carvings, and wood carvings, which are known as the "Three Carvings of the South of the Yangtze River". Among them, the wood carving flower basket hall, the brick carving gate tower, and the stone carving "Picture of Growth in the Prosperous Age" are the most representative.
