Introduction to Yangcheng Lake Campus: It was formerly known as the Shanghai Railway Administration Staff School founded in February 1954. It was renamed Suzhou Railway Drivers School in August 1962. In October 1983, it was renamed Suzhou Railway Mechanical School and has been under the management of the Ministry of Railways for a long time. In April 2004, the school became an organic school and was transferred from the Shanghai Railway Bureau of the Ministry of Railways to the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. In May of the same year, with the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, the school was renamed Suzhou Mechanical and Electrical Vocational and Technical School. In August 2007, it merged with Nanjing Railway Vocational and Technical College to establish the Suzhou campus of Nanjing Railway Vocational and Technical College.
