Introduction to Shangchan Hall: Shangchan Hall was built in the Ming Dynasty. It was originally called Jingde Hall. It was expanded by Shou Yan, a disciple of Yulin Guoshi, during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. After the name was changed, it is still used today. The Shangzen Hall is the best viewing spot in Xiyuan Temple and is also the most gorgeous hall in the temple.
