Introduction to the Heavenly King's Hall: The Heavenly King's Hall, also known as the Maitreya Hall, is the first important hall in the Buddhist temple. There is a statue of Maitreya in the middle of the hall, the statues of the four heavenly kings on the left and right, and the statue of Wei Tuotian on the back. Hence the name. Initially, the Heavenly King's Hall was mostly seen in Pure Land sect temples. Chinese Zen Buddhism originally did not worship Maitreya. However, after the Song Dynasty, Chinese Buddhism began to practice both Zen and Purity, so the Heavenly King's Hall began to appear in most Chinese temples.
