Introduction to the place where Confucius ascended: The place where Confucius ascended is a stone square with four pillars and three doors across the road. It is located in the north of Tiantian Gate in Mount Tai. It is shaded by ancient vines, elegant and dignified, and has the five characters "Confucius's Descent Place" inscribed on the forehead. It was built in the 39th year of Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty (1560). The couplet on the pillars says: "King Su alone will be passed down through the ages, and the Holy Lord will come from afar to celebrate for thousands of years." There are two steles on both sides of the square. In the east is the stele "You must climb up high" by Zhai Tao, Tongzhi of Jinan Prefecture during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty; in the west is the stele "The First Mountain" by Li Fuchu, the censor of Shandong Province. On the north side is the "Tianjie" square with two pillars and a single door.
