Introduction to Bixia Temple: Bixia Temple was first built in the second year of Dazhong Xiangfu (1009), the reign of Emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty. Originally called Zhaozhen Temple, it was called Zhaozhen Temple in the Jin Dynasty. During the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty (1488-1505), it was renamed Bixia Lingying Palace, also known as Bixia Lingyou Palace. It was renamed Bixia after reconstruction in the 35th year of Qianlong's reign (1770). The temple is still in use today.
