Introduction to the Guandi Temple: The Guandi Temple at the starting point of the Mount Tai winding road faces south and is dedicated to Guan Gong. The current buildings in the temple were built with donations from Shanxi merchants during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, most of the salt merchants and pawnshops in Taicheng were from Shanxi. They were from the same hometown as Guan Gong, so they regarded Guan Yu as the god of luck and often gathered here to worship, so it was also called the "Shanxi Guild Hall". The four characters "Shenwei Juzhen" on the screen wall in front of the temple were inscribed by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty when he climbed Mount Tai. The Guandi Temple was built according to the mountain situation, and the overall layout is well-proportioned. The buildings are located in three courtyards. The main buildings include the mountain gate, theater building, worship shed, main hall, side hall and other buildings. Entering the mountain gate, the building above the mountain gate is a theater. The theater was a place where merchants held celebrations at that time.
