Introduction to the original tribe: According to mythology, the Tsou people fled to Yushan for refuge due to great floods in ancient times. After the flood receded, the god Hame left his footprints in the mountains, and the tribesmen followed the footprints and migrated, establishing various large communities and their social organizations. Based on the structure of large shrines, clans, joint families and single-surname families, there are currently two major shrines, Dapang and Tefuye. The Tsou people are mainly distributed in Alishan Township. The tribe is rich in mountain resources. In the past, the life of the Tsou people was mainly based on hunting. Hunting-related leather and weaving have also become excellent handicraft technologies. The feathers in the Tsou's headdress, the saber on their waist, and their leather jackets and leather trousers all show their bravery and good hunting skills.
