Archway introduction: Yuqing Palace was founded in the 32nd year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1906 AD). An earthquake damaged the temple in the 24th year of the Republic of China. At that time, there were only simple constructions. It was not until the 56th year of the Republic of China that believers raised funds and rebuilt it. The Yuqinggong temple is splendid and prosperous. It has believers all over northern Taiwan and is also the local religious center. In 2011, Taiwanese leader Ma Ying-jeou went to the Yuqing Palace in Miaoli City to offer incense and pray for blessings, and presented the temple with a plaque saying "Yi Feng Pu Hua". Before the 2014 Spring Festival, Democratic Progressive Party Chairman Tsai Ing-wen and others also came to Yuqing Palace to pay homage.
