Introduction to the Dragon Fire Event: Miaoli Fire Dragon is the most important event during the Lantern Festival in Miaoli County, Taiwan. It evolved from the Dragon Welcome Celebration in the Miaoli area. The Hakka people call the Lantern Festival "the first half of the first lunar month", also known as the "Festival of Lanterns". There is a Hakka slang saying that "Chinese New Year is half a month old". Every year, Miaoli's fire-side dragon event is held in front of the Yuqing Palace. There are six steps: "Bull the dragon, make the auspicious dragon's eyes, welcome the dragon, lift the dragon, wait for the fire, and transform the dragon back to heaven".
