Introduction to Tanghe Hot Spring: It is a stone artesian hot spring well. The existing Babao Glazed Well is said to have been built by Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty during his expedition to the east in the 19th year of Zhenguan (645). The hot spring in the well flows continuously, and the water temperature is as high as 72 degrees Celsius. Historical records record that Nurhaci, the founder of the Qing Dynasty, bathed here after he captured Tieling and arrived in Liaoyang. Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty also bathed here during his eastward tour. He also wrote, "The ancient Tanghe River has gone through many vicissitudes, and the faster it becomes, the more it becomes famous for its wonderful craftsmanship." Poetry, from then on, Tanghe Hot Spring became famous all over the world. According to expert research, the radon content of this hot spring is extremely high, far exceeding 400% of the top hot springs in the country. Commonly used for bathing in this water, it can treat more than 30 diseases such as high blood pressure, rheumatism, arthritis, and muscle atrophy.
