Introduction to Guopu Ancient Well: Guopu Ancient Well is not far from Guangji Bridge and is located on the south bank of Guangji Bridge. According to legend, this well was built by Guo Pu, a writer in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Guo Pu was proficient in the Yin and Yang Bagua. He chose the underground water vein for the well site. The water level was about six feet higher than the water level of Tanghe River. Its sweet and refreshing taste was the best among all the wells. According to Guangxu's "Tangqi Town Chronicles": In the 16th year of Kangxi's reign, Emperor Xuanye visited the south and stationed in the west of Hua Town. He drew water from this well to provide tea. During the Qianlong period, Zhuo Chao, a local resident, wrote "Guo Pujing" on his forehead. During the reign of Daoguang, it was rebuilt. Xu Sheng, a local resident, engraved the words "Jigu" on the bricks and embedded them on the walls.
