Introduction to Tang Xianzu: Tang Xianzu (1550-1616), whose courtesy name means still and whose nickname is Ruoshi, signed himself as a Taoist from Qingyuan. He successively served as doctor of Taichang Temple in Nanjing, registrar of Zhanshi Mansion, and director of the Ministry of Rites. He wrote many famous works in his life and was a great dramatist and writer.
