Introduction to Tan Zi: Tan Zi (date of birth and death unknown), surnamed, Viscount, was the king of Tan State in the Spring and Autumn Period. Because of the virtuous reputation of "deer milk for relatives" spread like wildfire, people came here in admiration and worshiped Tanzi as their teacher to learn knowledge and conduct themselves. Confucius also lived here for a period of time and accepted Tanzi's teachings. As a result, more and more people gathered together, and Tanzi's hometown changed from a village to a town, and from a city to a state, which was called Tan State. The local people unanimously elected Tan Zi to be the first king of Tan.
