There are flowers and candlesticks on the fireplace. On both sides are the Kuomintang flag and the Republic of China flag. The front is placed on black granite. The copper coffin is covered with blue sky and white sun. In front of the coffin is a cross made of yellow daisies, marking Chiang's Christian identity. In Chiang Kai-shek's last words, there were no arrangements for his death. Chiang Ching-kuo and Soong Meiling "temporarily placed the coffin in Cihu, Taoyuan" according to Chiang's daily wishes.
