Baiting introduction: Baiting is the most unique among all Mazu temples in the world. It is used for worship by local officials and is the exclusive privilege of the Tianhou Ancestral Temple. According to historical records, in the fifty-third year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1788), the imperial edict ordered the Queen of Heaven to worship in the ancestral hall of her hometown and order the local officials to offer sacrifices in the Spring and Autumn Period.
