Introduction to Panchi: Panchi is a semicircular pool with a stone bridge. It comes from "Piyong" in "The Rites of Zhou". Its original meaning is the university hall surrounded by water set up by the Emperor of Zhou. People walk on it. Going to Panchi is like entering the highest institution of learning.
