Introduction to the canal: Zhou Ruchang, a contemporary celebrity born in Gu Town, Xianshui, Tianjin, said that the Haihe River is famous for its curved course, and the method of regulating the Haihe River is the famous "cutting the bay to make it straight." From 1901 to 1923, Haihe River carried out six massive "cutting the bay to straighten" projects. Among them, the fourth bay cutting and straightening project started on April 9, 1911 and ended on July 15, 1913. It was the largest bay cutting project on the Haihe River. The Haihe Old Road Park in the north of Xianshuigu Town probably refers to this section. The redundant old river is called Laohai River by people here.
