Introduction to the Buddhist Hall: The Buddhist Hall is the second main hall on the central axis and the main hall of Tiantong Temple. The Buddhist Hall was built in 1635 (the eighth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty). It is the oldest building in the temple. The hall is 21.5 meters high, 39 meters wide and 29.25 meters deep. There are three seated statues of the third generation of Buddhas in the hall, with a total height of 13.5 meters, of which the Buddha is 6.38 meters tall. Kassapa and Ananda stand on the left and right of Sakyamuni Buddha. On the two wings are the seated statues of eighteen Arhats about 2 meters high. Behind the third Buddha is the island Guanyin.
