Introduction to animal resources: Most of the animals living in the reserve are endangered wild animals unique to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Tibetan wild donkeys, Tibetan antelopes, and wild yaks are known as the "three major families" of the Qiangtang. The reserve also has many national second-level protected animals and plateau-specific fish, which can be described as a "natural wildlife park."
