Introduction to Zayeba Temple: Zayeba Temple is located in Dazi County. In the middle of the 7th century, Tubo Zampo Songtsen Gampo initiated the construction for Princess Mengsa Chijiang. It is said that there are 108 caves among the cliffs of Yerba, where famous monks practice meditation. There are more than a dozen caves in existence, among which Songtsen Gampo's Dharma Cave was the earliest to be built. It is located on a cliff halfway up the mountain. There were Buddhist niches, ancient murals and a statue of Songtsen Gampo in the original cave. Now the Buddha statue has been destroyed. Temples were built around the cave, and after many repairs and expansions, they became a famous temple. In the middle of the 8th century, Zanpu Trisong Detsen promoted Buddhism and invited Master Padmasambhava from India to promote Buddhism. The master once came here to practice, and the secret dharma cave still exists today. Not far from Master Padmasambhava's practice cave, there was originally a bell room with a bronze bell hanging inside and two rings of bell inscriptions. Judging from the shape and style of the characters, it should be a cultural relic of the Tubo period. The whereabouts of Jin Zhong are unknown. In the 11th century, the ancient Indian monk Atisha wrote books and lectured here. Here is his former residence and Dharma practice cave.
