Xiao Yuanzhu's introduction: More than 40 years ago, this was still a mountain. After Tongxi Lake was formed, most of the mountain sank to the bottom of the water, with only the top exposed to the lake, becoming an island in the lake, which had a unique charm. Because the shape of the island resembles a turtle, the name of the island comes from this. Xiao Yuanzhu covers an area of 14,700 square meters. The island has winding paths, lush trees, and the fragrance of birds and flowers. Climbing up to the observation deck, visitors can enjoy the charming scenery around Tongxi.
There is an unnamed island not far away. Compared with Xiao Yuanzhu, it looks much smaller and more exquisite. It and the little Yuanzhu, one big and one small, nestled on the lake, like a mother and son. In 1991, this Jiuqu Bridge was built, connecting the "mother and son" together. The two of them, mother and son, were very close, silently paying attention to the rapid changes in Tongxi.
