Introduction to Dominica: The church is in Baroque style, with green vaults and Latin inscriptions on the main door. It was here that Peter the Great of Russia signed an alliance with Poland against Sweden. During the Soviet era it was used as an archive, a vocational school and a museum of religion and atheism.
