Aircraft introduction: A US military trainer aircraft is placed on the platform. In December 1957, shortly after taking off from a military base in Italy, the aircraft veered due to a technical failure and made an emergency landing at the current location of Albania International Airport. In 1969, the Hoxha authorities "proudly" exhibited the aircraft in Gjirokastra, deceiving the public that it was a downed American "spy plane" and using it as a propaganda tool. It was not until Hoxha's fall that the public learned the truth about the incident.
