Introduction to the Giant Buddha: The Baguashan Giant Buddha is the statue of Sakyamuni Buddha. It is about 24 meters high, about 4 meters wide at the shoulders, and about 12 meters in chest. It is a reinforced concrete sculpture. From the lotus seat to the top of the Buddha, it is six stories high, and it looks even bigger when it stands on the top of the mountain. It is said that this giant Buddha surpasses the Nara Giant Buddha in Japan and the Reclining Buddha in India, and is one of the few giant Buddhas in the world.
